Senior Pastors
Tim Lockwood
Tim has been in Christian ministry and leadership since graduating from Bible college in South Africa in 1994. Tim started his ministry at the New Forest Community Church as the Youth Pastor before meeting his wife Danni and pastoring churches in the waterside area of Southampton and Guildford. In 2017 Tim and Danni felt a call to move back to the Waterside after six years of pastoring a church in Guildford. In 2018 Tim returned to New Forest Community Church, now known as Gateway, to take up the role of Senior Pastor. In 2020 Fareham Community Church joined the Gateway family under Tim’s pastorship. Tim believes that being a Pastor is a ministry that goes beyond just the church family and has actively worked part time in other secular roles including being a Police Officer for nine years where he helped to develop the Governments PPO scheme in the New Forest and more recently works as the CEO for Headway Southampton, a charity that helps people who are recovering from an acquired brain injury. Tim and Danni’s’ heart is to build a church that sees people regularly coming into a new and ever growing relationship with God through Christ.
Danni Lockwood
Following Danni meeting her husband Tim, they started pastoring churches together in the Waterside area of Southampton and up in Guildford. In 2017 Tim and Danni felt a call to move back to the Waterside after six years of pastoring a church in Guildford. In 2018 they returned to New Forest Community Church which is now known as Gateway. Tim and Danni believe that being a Pastor is a ministry that goes beyond just the church family and they actively work part time within the community. Danni works as an interior designer who teaches classes at Eastleigh College and works at a local optician as an optical adviser. Tim and Danni’s’ heart is to build a church that sees people regularly coming into a new and ever growing relationship with God through Christ.

What are Sundays like?
If it’s your first time in a church or if you are wanting to visit Gateway, you will be more than welcome. Our Sundays are all about finding and making great friends, learning more about the Christian faith, and singing great songs that will inspire your faith.
